Crawly Crypt Vol 2: Programs and Utilities for BBS Sysops

AF112BIN  AutoFile version 1.12 is a program that allows you to connect to file
          echos.  It will automatically check incoming files and place them in
          the proper download directory. No longer requires a key!  GNU General
          Public License applies.  Creates/processes standard TIC files.


AVAL_373  AVALON version 3.73 by Stephan Slabihoud is an alternative to the
          well known "Tiny-Shell" for points.  In contrast to Tiny-Shell,
          AVALON supports up to six different point setups and as many
          different poll sessions.  File requests are improved and a little CLI
          is implemented that allows you to run batchfiles within a session
          setup.  At the moment, it works with Binkley and Semper.


BT314PLA  BinkleyTerm ST version 3.14a  - The latest release of the
          premier fidonet front end mailer written by Steven Green, Joerg
          Spilker, Otto Braendli, and Bill Scull.  This folder contains the
          UPDATE files only - it is NOT a full release.


BTNC186   BTNC version 1.86 is a nodelist compiler.  This program is required
          for use with the Jetmail mail utilities.  It CAN be used with
          BinkleyTerm instead of Parselist.  However, most people prefer the
          nodelist generated by Parselist.


FASTTALK  FaST Talk version 1.00 by Dave Lockwood is a Full Duplex chat
          program, allowing both the user and the Sysop to type at the same
          time!  And, right in the middle at the right is the current time
          updated every minute, so you know when to say goodbye.   FaST Talk
          works with any BBS that can run external programs, AND with terminal
          programs like Flash that allow you to run TOS and GEM programs.  Call
          a friend and chat without waiting.  FaST Talk uses the Atari VT52
          escape codes to control the cursor position, and any terminal that
          supports these codes should work.


FBM_061   FilesBBS Manager version 0.61 by John Curtis & Mark Taylor was
          designed with the concept of creating a Mouse driven GEM program that
          can be used to maintain the file areas on your BBS.  FilesBBS Manager
          was designed to work with any BBS program that utilizes a FILES.BBS
          format file (QuickBBS, Octopus, etc).  Supports CD-ROMs.  Shareware!


JETDEMO   Jetmail version 0.99  by Daniel R”sen & J”rg Spilker.  This
          folder contains all files of the current JetMail betatest
          distribution.  Jetmail is the fastest and best supported fidonet mail
          tosser available.  Now includes a built in TIC processor.  Shareware
          - read the docs for more info.


LED_127   LED (Little Red Editor) version 1.27 by Stephan Slabihoud is the
          premier message reader for Sysops and Points that use QuickBBS ST
          style message bases.  If you use QuickBBS ST style message bases then
          you *NEED* this program!  Includes English and German documentation.
          Shareware.  (The Sysop of the Crawly Crypt BBS uses LED and
          encourages others to try it!)


LIST_233  BBS LiSTer version 2.33 by Robert Darling is an Allfiles list creator
          for QuickBBS and ProBBS SysOps.  Welcome to yet another ALLFILES
          creation program! The author designed this one for his own use as he
          found all the others far too slow.  Extremely configurable with lots
          of options and features - including support for various archivers,
          alphabetizing the file lists, and MUCH MUCH MORE!


LOGTOOL   LogTool version 1.00 by Andreas Boelt is a small utility which takes
          care of sysops with big logfiles.  LogTool splits the logfile in one
          file for each day (the files created from LogTool are stored in a
          folder with the name of the month, eg. JetMail.1 in folder JANUARY
          for all log entries of the 1st of january).  It can process logfiles
          from JetMail and Binkley Style systems (eg. Semper, AutoFile,
          QuickBBS, JamBala, etc.)


MAKEU310  Make UPL version 3.10 is a utility that will create *.UPL files.
          These files are similar to the more common FILEID.DIZ files.


MD_116    MakeDiff version 1.16 by Robert Darling is a nodelist creation
          utility used by NeST, TurboNet, etc to maintain their nodelist
          segments.  A couple of minor changes have been made to Makediff,
          mainly to allow it to create the HATCH.SYS file required by Jetmail
          for autosending of nodelists.  You may now define the path to write
          your hatch file to using the command HatchDir instead of
          AutoFilePath.  Contains update docs only.


MIND_UNR  Mindless version 1.3 by Mindbomb Developments is an online BBS door
          for any Atari ST(ish) BBS capable of creating the now standard
          DORINFO1.DEF user file.  It is based upon the familiar Grafitti Wall
          doors prevelant on most BBS systems, but expanded.  It came into
          being as the author tried to find the above for his system, but was
          always disappointed by the lack of features or general lack of polish
          the existing attempts had.


MRPNT112  Mr Pointy version 1.12 by Robert Cooper is a not-so-little shell for
          network points (FidoNet, AtariNet, NeST, etc).  It works on all
          machines in all screen modes. The dialogue/window manager is based on
          FLDLIB by Martin Maisey, and takes advantages of the excellent WiNX
          if installed.


NEST_KIT  This is the NeST information pack which can be used by any user to
          obtain information on Network ST (NeST).  Within this folder can be
          found complete documentation concerning the network, it's operation,
          and aims, as well as the machine readable nodelist (NeSTLiST) used
          for mailing within NeST.


NITRO3    NITRO-Scan version 3 by Steve Barnes is a replacement for the built
          in QBBS mail scanner.  This program is lightining fast!  Highly
          recommended!


PLST161   Atari ParseList version 1.61 [13-Dec-1994] by Bryan Hall and Bill
          Jones is a fidonet nodelist processor and compiler for use with
          BinkleyTerm, QuickBBS, and other fidonet related programs. The
          "Missing Nodelist/Nodediff", "End of year bug", and other minor bugs
          stomped in this version.  Minor display and speed problems fixed.


ROBOTWAR  Robotwar II is a challenging door game of skill and luck.  Skill
          because you have to plan each move carefully and anticipate your
          opponent's move.  Luck, because you never know where the computer
          will randomly drop you at the beginning of each round!  Freeware!


SMP_AWK   Semper log statistics using an awk script by Borek Lupomesky.  This
          folder contains a set of awk scripts for processing logfiles produced
          by Semper.  Awk is a Unix utility that can perform arbitrary pattern
          matching and replacing on a stream of data.  It is especially suited
          for creating log reports.  Requires awk and a good command line
          shell.


ST_NOTE   ST-Note version 0.05beta [11-Feb-1995] by John Richardson is a
          program designed to allow your users to leave a message to the next
          caller.  Supports Ansi, VT52 colour/mono & ASCII graphics formats,
          allows upto 10 lines of text to be left, provides full carrier
          detect, has word wrap on editor, and takes users name and does a
          captilization, also allows use of 1 name without it being printed
          twice!


TODAY201  Today generator version 2.01 by Mike Butler and Chuck Grimsby is
          another program to display events and occurrences on a date in
          history.  Not as good as the Today program from Alex Rubenstein.


USERPACK  Userpack by Walu Software is the first of the NEW support programs
          designed to replace existing QuickBBS ST utilities.  This program not
          only packs your USERS.BBS but also trims/appends the LASTREAD.BBS
          file if it's length is not correct.  The program will create a
          LASTREAD.BBS if you have lost your old one.


VMU_057   Volky's Mail Utilities version 0.57 [19-Dec-1994] by Volkmar Wieners
          includes HAI (Fido Point Importer), MAFI (MausTausch Importer), BYE
          (Fido/ MausTausch Exporter), ZAP (Message Base Cruncher).  All docs
          are in German.
