Crawly Crypt Vol 2: Atari ST Desktop Publishing Files

A_CARD1   A Mother's Day Card in Calamus format by Wally W.  This card was laid
          so it would print on the author's KX-P1124 - you may have to edit it
          slightly to make it print in the middle of the page on other
          printers.


BORDERS   6 IMG borders by Greg Evans scanned at 300 DPI using Touch-Up and the
          Migraph hand scanner.  Although the actual image size of the files is
          small, they can be enlarged to 8 1/2 by 11 without any serious
          jaggies.


CALENDAR  A 1995 Calendar in Calamus format.


CALFONT   Font Show version 1.0 by Robert Gies is a Calamus font viewer.  The
          program and all docs are in German.


CFNLIST2  CFN-Lister version 2.0 Rev. 10.07.1993 by Thomas Kerkloh is a Calamus
          Font listing program.  All documentation is in German.


DRIVERS   A fairly large collection of Import and Export drivers for use with
          PageStream.


EASYMOVE  EasyMove - Easy GEM and IMG file Mover version 1.2 by Chet Walters.
          Easymove will move your GEM file and will read it as it does looking
          for and finding the related IMG files.  It will then copy the GEM
          file to the destination you choose and will bring along all the IMG
          files it finds while at the same time changing the pointers within
          the GEM file to the new location of the IMG files.  Shareware!


EYE_TEST  An eye test chart in Calamus format.


FASTPRT   FastPrint by Andrew Brown is an accelerator for use with Calamus and
          the HP LaserJet (or compatible) printer.  You will have noticed that
          Calamus takes a consistent eight minutes to print an A4 page, even
          when only a small portion of the page is used.  FastPrint works by
          intercepting Calamus' printer output and eliminating blank lines.
          This can result in a drastic reduction in printing times.


FONT_FIX  Font Fix by DragonWare - The GDOS\FONTGDOS Filename fixer.  This
          program is designed to help users of The G_MAN V2.0 through 3.XX
          correct the most common errors in the GDOS font name standard.
          Freeware!


GDOS_F_L  GDOS Font Lister version 1.0 by Heiko Gisselmann is a GEM based font
          listing program.  All documentation is in German.


GHOST     GhostScript version 3.01 beta release 1 - a GNU project.  GhostScript
          is a PostScript interpreter (similar in function to UltraScript).
          Included in this directory is EVERYTHING you need to get it up and
          running.


GSFONT1   Fonts for use with GhostScript - part 1 of 3.


GSFONT2   Fonts for use with GhostScript - part 2 of 3.


GSFONT3   Fonts for use with GhostScript - part 3 of 3.


HPDJ_ST   PageStream printer drivers for the HP DeskJet series of printers.


HPLAS_ST  PageStream printer drivers for the HP LaserJet series of printers.


HP_5164   Macro Set by Richard Brown for use with PageStream and Avery #5164 (3
          1/3" x 4" Labels).  It will generate a MASTER LABEL either with tight
          tolerances to the die-cut (F1), or with 1/8" clearance on all sides
          (F9). (Tight tolerance optimized for printing width of the HP DeskJet
          printer.) 


IDEALIMG  The Ideal Image Size Setter by Chet Walters will set the header
          information on the IMG you choose from the fileselector to the right
          size for your printer.  You have a choice of a 9 pin printer (120/144
          DPI), a 24 pin printer (180/180 DPI) or a laser printer (300/300
          DPI).  IMG's modified with the sizer will import into PageStream (or
          Touch Up) at the exact dot for dot pixel for bit size to print
          ideally on the printer you choose.


INVITER   Invitations by Craig Baltzer.  These are birthday invitations the
          author made for his son and one of his daughters.  In PageStream
          format!


LYNXIMGS  A couple of IMG format images of an Atari Lynx and the Atari Lynx
          Logo.  Great for Atari related desktop publishing projects (like
          usergroup newsletters, etc).


NEWSDISK  NewsDisk by Tom Bellucco is intended for use by users groups or clubs
          that want to publish a disk based newsletter.  You can create your
          own title screens and text files!  Shareware!


N_PUBLIS  N_PUBLIS version 2.01 by Noud van Kruysbergen is for users of
          Timeworks Publisher 2.0 (and G+PLUS).  If you do not use this program
          then N_PUBLIS is of no value to you.  With Timeworks you can have
          different Printer Installations.  However, when you are using
          Timeworks you can only use one printer at the time.  N_PUBLIS allows
          you to choose one out of four printer installations, then copies the
          associated ASSIGN and WID file and starts Timeworks.


PFM2AFM   pfm2afm version 1.0 by Ken Borgendale converts Windows pfm files to
          afm files.  Includes complete C source code.


PGSMODST  Modules and Drivers for PageStream 2.2.  This folder includes the
          assembly language source code, includes and make files for the
          drivers and modules for PageStream 2.2.  There is no documentation
          for these drivers or modules.  Soft-Logik has never documented the
          format for them.


PGS_CFG   Pagestream Config version 1.0 by The Demon (Jeff Poling).  Ever had
          to completely rework your PageStream ex/import drivers so that only
          certain ones would be used?  You had to do it manually, renaming each
          module so it would or would not be loaded.  PAGESTREAM CONFIG is a
          shell that allows you to reconfigure your drivers with the patented
          point-and-click method that GEM based machines are famous for.

PHTOREAL  Beaver Prints is a relatively new company that is producing some
          really nice preprinted brochures and papers for the print industry.
          This folder includes some Calamus Master Pages by Don Harris for use
          with them.


PPCNVT    PPCNVT is a Publishing Partner to PageStream file converter.  Should
          be straight forward.  Just run it and it will prompt for files to
          convert and names to save the coverted file as.  One limitation, you
          must use a destination file that is different than the source.


PRINTERS  A collection of printer drivers for use with Pagestream.


PSCAPT10  PS Capture version 1.00 by Charles S. Smeton is a desk accessory that
          will allow the output from the GDOS PostScript driver (supplied with
          TimeWorks Desktop Publisher ST) to be redirected from the RS-232 port
          to a disk file.  The file of PostScript commands can then be printed
          with Imagen's UltraScript or a PostScript compatible Laser Printer.

STYLUS_C  STYLUS_C.PRT version 2.0.4 PageStream printer driver update has
          improved page formatting.  Works only with PageStream 2.2.  Will
          print in 180x180 dpi, 360x360 dpi and 720x720 dpi in full color on
          the Epson Stylus Color printer.  Uses compressed data algorythm to
          transmit data to printer.


ST_IMGS   A collection of IMG format iamges of various Atari ST computers and
          peripherals including a 520 ST, a 1040 STe, etc.  Great for user
          group newsletters.


SUIZO     Suiza ("Swiss" in Spanish).  Here's a Calamus Swiss Medium font with
          Italic to go with the TIEMPO (Times) fonts. These fonts are Freeware.


VIEWFONT  Fontview by SKWare One & S. K. Webb is a GDOS font viewer program,
          and it's public domain.  It will run in all STe resolutions (maybe
          more), but looks best in monochrome.  It reports all data from the
          GDOS font header and features the GDOS Typewriter.


WINNERS   The winning entries in ISD Marketing, Inc's 2nd Annual Calamus Family
          Creativity and Design Contest.  To recapitulate; the entries could
          have been either text, graphics or a combination of both. Submission
          could and did include; business card designs, logo's, fonts, freehand
          drawings, posters, illustrations, cartoons and graphical effects just
          to name a few examples, using any one of the Calamus family of
          products, including, Calamus, Outline Art, the Font Editor or any
          combination of the three.
