ADARDEMO  A demo of "A Day at the Races" (ADAR) from TEAM Software.  ADAR is a
          comprehensive simulation of the horse race track environment.  The
          research and development has taken three years to complete.
          Highlights of the simulation include: multi or single player (1 to 15
          players), buy and sell horses, select jockeys, place wagers, receive
          payoffs, 9 different types of wagers - win, place, show, daily
          double, big exacta, exacta, quinella, trifecta, and jackpot, 4
          different race types: claiming, maiden, allowance, and handicap, and
          much much more.


BLEND     Enclosed in this folder are two TIFF samples of objects created with
          the Calamus Blend Module.  The Blend Module is a tool for creating
          raster graphic areas with gradient fill patterns.  Choose between two
          types of blends; linear and circular.  Within each type of blend
          there are a number of user-definable options for creating various
          styles of blends.

          The Cryptographer is a program that will let you create and solve
          cryptograms.


CWCII     Demo of The NEW Crossword Creator II from Missionware Software.  CC 2
          is the fastest, easiest to use, and most complete crossword program
          ever developed for Atari ST, MegaST, STE, MegaSTE, TT computers!
          This DEMO is fully functional and quite similar although not as full
          featured as the full commercial version and is limited to a maximum
          word limit of 5 words.  Supports ST High & Med res only.


CYBERDRM  Cyberdrome version 1.1 DEMO VERSION from Missionware Software.
          Cyberdrome is the name of a Virtual Universe existing inside of a
          permanent computer Memory Matrix designed to "grow" Artificial Life
          programs.  While intended to be a place for humans to peacefully
          interact with data via Virtual Reality simulators, it is now under
          attack by deadly, virus-infected programs controlled by a rogue
          Artifical Intelligence system called CJER.  The mission of the
          CyberForce is to rid CyberDrome of the virus infected programs.  Join
          the Cybernauts in their quest by running the "Cyberdrome" program on
          your Atari computer.


DAPICT    Demo of Digital Arts' Picture (DA's Picture) verion 1.10.  DA's
          Picture is a professional quality image manipulation program.  It is
          designed to work with bit mapped true color images (such as those
          created with a flat bed scanner).  It is feature rich and operates
          extremely smoothly.  The English language version is available from
          CGS Computerbild in the UK.


DAVECTOR  Demo of Digital Art's Vector (DA's Vector) version 1.10.  DA's Vector
          is a high end, professional level color vector graphics program for
          all TOS computers with at least 2 megabytes of ram.  It works in any
          resolution of at least 640 X 400 pixels (supports monochrome through
          true color).  Has an incredible array of vector drawing tools and a
          bitmap to vector converter (autotracer).  Also includes 2D and 3D
          chart generators for statistics and MUCH MORE.  INCREDIBLE!  The
          English language version is available from CGS Computerbild in the
          UK.


EASEDEMO  Demo of Ease version 3.0 from Application Systems Heidelberg.  Ease
          is a replacement desktop for the Atari similar in function to
          NeoDesk.  This demo contains no documentation and the demo program
          itself is completely in German.


EASYGO20  Easy Go by Anthony Watson is a program launcher that allows up to 240
          programs to be assigned to "Buttons" that allow you to launch your
          favorite software.  In addition, it allows many powerful features for
          launching programs including resolution switching, processor speed
          selection, and a complete macro language to handle the really complex
          jobs.


EDI_DEMO  Demo of EDITH - Desktop Text Editress version 1.188 from ZFC.  EDITH
          is one of the most flexible and user-friendly text editors currently
          existing for any micro computer platform.  The program's ability to
          work with text selections of arbitrary complexity, as well as many
          other new ideas such as visible text blocks and the text data trash
          can, make powerful editing features accessible to computer users who
          want a computer program to understand THEIR wishes, and not vice
          versa.


EDPLSDEM  Demo of Edit Plus version 3.12 (The replacement for EdHak 3.0) from
          Clear Thinking.  This demo version of Edit Plus is fully functional
          except that it will not let you save anything from the edit buffer to
          a file or to disk sectors.  However, it can be used for viewing any
          kind of files (even larger than your RAM), viewing any area of RAM,
          and viewing disk sectors.  It can be run as either an ACC or PRG just
          by renaming it.  For those of you who call Compuserve, it is fully
          functional as an on-line editor for Compuserve messages when used in
          conjunction with the version 1.7 or later of QuickCIS by Jim Ness.

EZSCDEMO  Demo of EZ-Score Plus from Binary Sounds (formerly Barefoot Software,
          formerly Hybrid Arts).  EZ-Score Plus is a terrific sheet music
          printing program.  It will print in 4 basic formats: Solo, Piano,
          Lead, and Trio.  You can even print four part harmonies on two staves
          with lyrics betweeen the staves.  It will print rythm charts, horn
          parts, melody and words for vocalists, and much much more.


FD_DEMO   Demo of the PCG Font Designer version 2.0 from PCG (distributed by
          MegaType Software in North America).  The demo consists of the
          standard version of Font Designer.  The various Adobe Type 1 format
          fonts on the disk were created using the PLUS version of Font
          Designer.  The files required to create the Type 1 fonts are only
          available in the PLUS version.  The PLUS version also contains a
          program, TYPE 1 CONVERTER, which converts MAC & PC Type 1 fonts to
          .ECF format, for editing of conversion to PageStream or Calamus.
          (Type 1 Converter is also available seperately from MegaType) 


FINALCUT  Demo of The Final Cut Version 2.30 by Legend Software Systems.  The
          Final Cut is a 16 track MIDI sequencer for the Atari ST and Mega
          computers.  It will run on as little as a 520ST with a single sided
          disk drive with either a color or monochrome monitor, but it will
          also take full advantage of larger setups (e.g. a Mega 4 with a hard
          drive).  You will need at least 1 MIDI equipped synthesizer or drum
          machine to make use of the program.


FONTVERT  Demo of FontVerter from MegaType Software.  This program allows the
          conversion of outline fonts between PageStream and Calamus desktop
          publishing packages.  Users will now be able to use the exact same
          font outline with both packages, enabling the user owning both
          programs to determine which program they want to use for a certain
          job based on the needed capabilities of the program, instead of
          trying to make do because the font required is only available for one
          of the package.  The demo version only converts 6 characters: ABCDEF


HL_DEMO   Demo of HyperLINK from JMG Software International, Inc. The HyperLINK
          Information Management System is a database which allows the linking
          of data, text, graphics, animation, and sound.  Using an object
          oriented environment, HyperLINK provides the user with the tools to
          create a wide variety of applications.  With the integrated
          Application Builder, users can create databases, hypertext documents,
          interactive screens, and more.  HyperLINK provides a great deal of
          flexibility.  The possible applications of this product are limited
          only by your imagination; appropriate uses include, for example, the
          areas of education, business, home management, and complex hypertext
          and multimedia control.


IMAGES16  Sample results from using COLORSCAN by SKWare One.  This folder
          contains 7 full color IMG files that were created using ColorScan.
          ColorScan converts the monochrome halftone, or "Photo," scanned .IMG
          files produced by 32-greyscale handscanners or flatbed scanners to
          color images which can be saved in a wide variety of common Atari
          picture formats.  The original COLORSCAN program runs in ST Low on
          all ST/ STe / TT / Falcon computers.


INSHAPE   Demo of InShape version 1.02 for the Falcon030 / TT030.  InShape is a
          graphic program for modelling and generating 3D scenes.  InShape
          facilitates the complete process, from modelling 3-D objects to
          generating pictures.


INV_DEMO  Demo of Invision Elite from DMC Publishing, Inc.  Invision Elite is a
          powerful image editing and creationg program.  It is a fully GEM
          based program featuring an easy to use icon interface.  It supports
          up to 7 images simultaneously, each in it's own window, with image
          size limited only by available memory.


JANE      Demo of JAnE (Just Another Editor) from Delta Labs Software is a full
          featured text editor from Germany that is easy to use yet still
          offers powerful functions.  The program and all docs are in German.


KB25DEMO  Demo of KOBOLD version 2.5.  Kobold is a blazingly fast file copy and
          manipulation program.  It can move megabytes of files in seconds.
          MUCH faster than the built in TOS file routines.  EXCELLENT!


KPAINT_D  Demo of Kidpainter by D.A. Brumleve.  Kidpainter is a graphics design
          program for children ages 5-11.  The commercial version can be
          configured to suit the needs, interests, and level of development of
          the child who will use it.  This demo version contains all of the
          possible options, though SAVE and PRINT are disabled.  The commercial
          version allows the parent or teacher to configure the disk to offer
          1, 3, or 9 pictures, memory permitting; the demo provides 3 pictures.


MAILMNGR  Demo of Mailing Manager ST Pro from Fouch Software.  MMST Pro is the
          ultimate dedicated mailing list program for the Atari TOS series of
          computers.  MMST Pro is F*A*S*T and operates under an easy to use,
          intuitive GEM interface.  Among it's many features are: Up to 32,000
          records per file. Unlimited number of files.  Preset fields: Name,
          Two Address lines, City, State, Zip, Three phones (each having its
          own label), Two short Note fields, eXtended notes field (up to 1,000
          line / record), and Count field. User-definable fields: Two 16
          character text fields, Two numeric fields, Two date fields, 28 Flags.
          Sort records by any word in the Name field. This allows Mailing
          Manager ST¿ PRO to look at records the same way humans do.  Password
          protection is available for each file.


MASTDEMO  Demo of Master version 5.70 from Naumann & Roeder GbR.  Master is a
          CLI shell for the ST similar in function to PCommand or TomShell.  It
          is ideal for people wanting to set up a BBS system or for those who
          prefer a CLI interface to a mouse interface.


MASTER    Demo of MasterSound MegaMix from Software Horizons Ltd./Pandaal
          Marketing.  Mastersound is a sound sampling and sequencing package
          for all ST computers.  This easy to use package allows you to create
          demo sequences such as the one in this demo.  Don't forget that you
          can use it to add weird and wonderful sound effects to your games and
          programs.  Includes routines for use with STOS, GFA Basic, etc.


MC204     Demo of MEGA-Check version 2.04 claims to be "the Juggernaut of
          account and finance managers".  This state-of-the-art program will
          provide enough power to track any of your personal, investment or
          business enterprises for years to come.


MEGAPAIT  Demo of MegaPaint Professional version 3.00 from TommySoftware.
          MegaPaint is a powerful bitmap graphics editing tool.  It supports
          the most popular bit map file formats (IMG, TIFF, Degas, Etc) and
          offers drawing facilities such as circles, ellipses, arcs,
          rectangles, and much more.  Very smooth and fast!


MEGA_BIT  DEMO versions of BitMaker(c) and MegaKern(c) from MegaType Software.
          The enclosed programs are fully functional, except for saving the
          resulting data.  MegaKern is an autokerning program that can kern
          over 1000 kern pairs in less than 5 minutes, perfectly, without the
          usual headaches of creating kern pairs by hand.  BitMaker
          automatically creates bitmap screen fonts for PageStream 1.8X and 2.X
          from Pagestream outline fonts, and Adobe .ABF screen fonts for
          Pagestream 2.1 from Type 1 fonts.  No more snail like screen redraws.


NEWGEN    Demo of NEWGEN version 4.10 from E.G.Richards.  NEWGEN is a program
          written for the ATARI ST family of computers (520, 1040, Mega or STE)
          and designed to help genealogists maintain the records of their
          researches and to print out birth briefs and pedigree charts.  It may
          also be of interest to geneticists and plant or animal breeders.


OFAXIS15  Demo of Off-Axis version 1.5 - another extremely powerful measured
          data plotter for the Atari ST/STe/TT/Falcon030 computers.


OUTSDEMO  Demo of OUTSIDE version 3.3 - The Virtual Memory Manager.  Will allow
          you to define up to 512 megabytes of hard drive space to be used as
          "virtual ram" - in other words the computer is fooled into believing
          it has up to 512 megs of ram.  Supports SWAP Partitions on ACSI,
          SCSI, and IDE Harddrives.


PAGETOOL  Contained in this fodler are TIFF's that are screenshots taken while
          using the Calamus Pagetool Module.  In the first, there is a snapshot
          of a slideshow presentation.  Pagetool allows an excellent overview
          for this type of application.  PageTool is a great new module for
          displaying and manipulating pages while in thumbnail display mode.


PAPILLON  Demo of Papillon version 2.1 from Application Systems Heidelberg.
          Papillon is a remarkable bit mapped graphics creation and editing
          tool.  It has many powerful drawing functions available including a
          sophisticated curve generator/editor.  The program operates extremely
          quick and smoothly and is a joy to use.


PHOENIX2  This is a disabled demo of Lexicor's Phoenix Object Renderer version
          2.00.  The animation features of the program have been disabled, and
          any rendered images will be created with numerous blank horizontal
          bands through the image.

          all your favorite recipes. In addition, The Recipe Box allows you to
          do things like resizing a recipe that would be difficult to do with
          any of the standard recipe storage methods. You will soon wonder how
          you got along without it!


RIEMANND  Demo of RIEMANN-I from Begemann & Niemayer Softwareentwicklung GbR.
          Riemann I is a symbolic algerbra system for the Atari platform.  The
          program and all docs are in German.  If you need this type of program
          you will probably be able to figure out how it works.


SKG_DEMO  Demo of Super KidGrid by D.A. Brumleve.  Super Kidgrid, offering
          unique experiences in patterning, shapes, and color, has the ability
          to provide both entertainment and challenge to your child.  Super
          Kidgrid offers an introduction to the world of computer graphics
          design while developing and supporting creative thinking skills.


SPACEACE  A self running demo of the Space Ace game from Readi-Soft.  Space Ace
          is a faithful port of the coin-operated game of the same name.  When
          run on an STe, the game takes full advantage of the enhanced color
          pallete and digital sound playback capabilities of the machine.


STALKER3  Demo of STalker 3 from Gribnif Software.  STalker is a GEM based
          terminal program for the Atari.  It allows file up/downloading in the
          background, while you run other GEM programs.  It will work as both a
          desk accessory and a program.  It has a fully-programmable Remote
          Mini-BBS Mode that is actually a BackTALK script!  Includes the
          BackTALK script compiler and lots of sample BackTALK scripts


TBXCAD_D  Demo of tbxCAD from ABC Solutions.  tbxCAD is a full featured, two
          dimensional drafting package with professional features such as an
          infinite drawing plane, multiple layers, and a wide range of drawing
          primitives.  The program facilitates accurate location and
          construction of points such as tangents, intersections, ends,
          centers, on entity, etc.  Editing features include copy, move, move
          to layer, delete, rotate, and mirror.  Much much more!


TOSFAX    Demo TOSFax version 2.5 [French Language Version] from Techno
          Service.  TOSFax is a full fledged fax program for the ST/STe/TT/
          Falcon030.  It offers everything you would want in a fax program
          including send/ receive fax, scheduling of faxes, and much more. 


TSXF2_UK  Demo of TOSFax version 2.0 [English Language Version] from Techno
          Service.  Although there is a demo of a newer version (2.5) of this
          program on this CD, it is in French only.  This version is included
          because, although it is older, it is in English.


VOCAB     Demo of ST Vocab and Verbmaster version 1.4 by Academic Software.  ST
          Vocab is a vocabulary tutor and management program to assist foreign
          language students in their studies. Using ST-Vocab, words can be
          learnt, tested, manipulated and saved to disk for later revision.  It
          can be used in any language with the Roman alphabet, such as French,
          German, Spanish, Latin, etc. Accented letters can be included using
          the program.  Academic Software also distributes several optional
          dictionary disks for revision purposes.


XACT310D  Demo of Xact Chart Publishing version 3.1 from R.O.M. Software.  This
          program makes keeping track of data and working up graphical charts
          to represent the data a snap.  You can create just about any type of
          chart or graph (2D or 3D).
